Our Story

Beginnings

Thomas and Demi met early in their college careers. Although they both shared the same group of friends, they never really talked one-on-one until their junior year. Then, at a birthday party for one of their best friends, Dana, they started talking. Thomas and Demi clicked immediately! They started spending a lot of time together after class, watching Parks and Recreation and House of Cards almost every night. Eventually Thomas got the courage to ask her to spend time with him off campus, and Demi joined him at an indoor shooting range for an outing with the Georgia Tech Marksmanship Club.

A week later they had their first official date, where they got dinner and saw Deadpool. After a few more dates Thomas asked Demi to be his girlfriend, which she happily agreed to! In the months to come they loved going on adventures, from the World of Coke to Mayan ruins in Mexico. And of course, binge watching funny shows on Netflix. They fit perfectly.

The Proposal

Eventually Thomas realized that she truly was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and that he was going to propose. He had the idea to bring Demi back to the first of their many adventures.

After talking with Demi's younger sister Brandy, Thomas came up with a plan. With only a few days until graduation, Brandy suggested to Demi that they should go on a double date. At the same time, Thomas had been talking to Demi about how he wanted to go to the range again and mentioned to Demi that Thursday was girls day at the range. Thankfully that was enough to prompt Demi to suggest that they all go on a double date to the shooting range.

At the range Demi still had no idea what was going to happen. After shooting for a bit, Thomas convinced her to leave the range for a minute to take out her earrings under her ear muffs. Demi returned to find a loaded gun and a handmade target set out with two options: yes or no. After bringing the target in close to a few feet away to be sure she didn't miss, she made her shot and the rest is history!
